Moving On

The howling is over, I think, anybody else feel like a big sob? We will all miss Danny like hell but life goes on.

Today was a gorgeous sunny day. I spent most of it painting woodwork, with regular breaks to allow me to sit, read and drink coffee outside in the sunshine. It was bliss. Yesterday I got my hair cut (above shoulder-length) and went to a church sale, where I bought a Black & Decker jigsaw for £3.

I finished a knitting project on Friday – a lovely little cotton vest – and have decided to put my needles away for a month or two. I think that I need the break so that I can indulge in a few of my other hobbies e.g. playing guitar, painting pictures, watching live music and reading.

I have added pictures of our top landing showing before, during and after decoration. It shows how we took something that wasn’t too bad (not brilliant either), turned it into a complete mess and then fixed it up again.

Now all I need are more days like today and many good things (Pixies, D and N’s wedding) to look forward to and I’ll be a happy monkey.

Danny would have loved today if he’d been a bit younger. It was a perfect day for a walk along a beach and a bit of the doggy paddle.
