The finishing line is in sight. Very soon we will stop working on the damned house and start having a life again. I am looking forward to re-acquainting myself with knitting, cleanliness and enjoying the summer. I have downed the goddamn paintbrush for the last time tonight.

Now, when I say that we will be finished I am not telling the whole truth. But everything that we have left to do will go on our snag list – to be dealt with after the summer is over.

I am very relieved. And exhausted!
