Seems I have all of a sudden become a consumer. How did this happen? Why did this happen? Not that I really buy much; I just do a lot of window shopping. But somewhere along the lines the urge to buy, buy, buy has increased. Hence, the purchase of a garden hose last weekend. Yes, I know that a garden hose is a very useful thing to have, if you have a garden, but is it really necessary to have two? The old one did the job but it didn’t have a nice spray nozzle and did not have a stand to roll it onto. My trip to return a DVD (Night of the Hunter) to the library tonight, turned into a shopping expedition and I spent more money than I would normally care to on a Friday evening.

Whilst out on my DVD returning trip/shopping expedition, I noticed a certain cosmopolitan vibe in town. I would pass by groups of young, athletic, tanned boys/men, who were obviously not locals! They didn’t have that ‘Ballymena Vibe’ about them. Anyhow, I soon realised that they were here to take part in the Milk Cup football competition. I really shouldn’t say anymore, lest my beloved starts to accuse me of ogling the young boys! As if!
