I nearly jumped out of my skin when I heard a very loud knock on the door today. Turned out that it was our neighbour with a gift of 2 strawberry meringue nests for D and me. D has already wolfed his and is planning on eating mine tomorrow (I am too saintly to eat meringue nests! But, it is sitting at the end of the table begging me to eat it).

Anyhow, because I was in a state of shock when the door was thumped, I think I may have appeared quite rude to our meringue nest gift bearing neighbour. I managed to forget her name, forget to say hello and nearly forgot to thank her. My Moms would have been appalled with my behaviour!

It has been a good weekend. It is nice to be at home and not be under any pressure to clean or decorate. I got the urge (quite strongly) to be creative, so started knitting again. Yeah! It had been a while! I am currently knitting a pink and dark grey stripey sock with wool purchased from the Breezemount Farm Shop in Portaferry.
