Lovely Leitrim
I’ve been a gad-about again. This time I went to Lovely Leitrim to see the Newly Weds. It was my longest solo car journey, and it all went swimmingly well. I am grateful to share my father’s sense of direction and not my mother’s (you know what I mean Ma).
When you get onto the country roads it becomes courtesy to lift your finger in acknowledgement of any other car, motorbike, person, dog, cat or horse you pass. I am always so busy concentrating on the road that I never notice people tipping their finger at me, and so do not tip my finger in return. When D is in the car with me, he does it for me. On the journey home I decided to remedy the finger tipping situation, so, started paying attention to what the drivers I passed were doing. Not one of the lazy b*****d’s lifted a finger!
It’s good to get away from Ballymena.
