On a Sugar High
Another Friday has rolled around again. Where are the weeks disappearing to? Before I know it the B-I-G 3-0 will have hit me! (For those people who plan to send me enormous gifties – I will be away for 2 whole, glorious weeks. I would hate to think that on my return I would be unable to get into the house due to the huge number of gifties posted through the letterbox.)
It has been a quick-rolling, fun-filled week. There has been tasty food courtesy of D. I wouldn’t like to comment on where the clams came from – he said something about 36 metres under the water – but they were delish! He has been strutting around like he is the hunter-gatherer supreme. They were cooked in butter and wine, and the next time we have guests for dinner they will be getting clams.
Tonight I ate some of the rock I got in Scarborough, and I am once again amazed at the wondrousness of sugar. It truly is a magical substance. Then I cleaned the kitchen. Any connection? Probably.
My knitting is the only thing moving slowly here. It has been too hot to knit warm clothing. I haven’t yet had an opportunity to wear my new socks; and they really are too warm to wear in the shower!
I have posted a few more wedding photos here.
