Holy Man
I’ts been quiet around here since M and A got their own blogs. I feel like the comments are once again my own rather than a message board for M and A.
So far it has been a quiet weekend. Unfortunately, I will get no rest today as D has a bike ride planned for us. Not that this is a bad thing.
Yesterday, while dandering through the town I witnessed a holy man claim to be Satan’s servant. Now, if you knew Ballymena, and you knew the type of people who gather at the bandstand on a Saturday morning (with PA) preaching to passing shoppers, you would understand just how peculiar it is for one of them to say that he is Satan’s servant. Generally, their speeches warn one against a life of evil (with threats of burning in Hell for eternity), and praise God who will save us all. Yes, I know that this time it was just a slip of the tongue; the man was just so excited about spreading the word of the Lord that he missed out on clarifying that it was God that he was in fact servant to. After having claimed to be Satan’s servant he quickly apologised and said that he was God’s servant. Me, I burst out laughing in the street. So, much for hellfire and damnation.
