From Portstewart to Glenarm

That is the journey I took D as part of his birthday weekend treat. This from someone who hardly ever drives. (Hey, why drive when you have your own personal chauffeur?)

We stopped every now and again for short walks and photo opportunities. D had the digital camera (so all photos here were taken by him!) and I had two SLRs; my new one and my old one. It was my old camera’s last outing with me before being sent off to my little sis A.K.A. Santa’s Little Helper.

We stopped in Ballintoy, as mentioned before, where we took pictures of ‘Bendhu’ and a strange beached whale.

It was a good day for spotting wildlife in unusual places as in Ballycastle we came upon this seal having a pleasant Sunday lounge in the harbour. Apparently he is a regular there and D tells me that he even made it up the town one day!

Later, in Cushendun, we stared out to sea and everything was wonderful.
