Harvey’s Bristol Cream

My Granny will be spending Christmas in Co Leitrim this year, with my aunt and her husband. Granny seems to be worried by the idea as she doesn’t sleep well in strange beds. When asked how she will get through the experience she replied that she would ‘get drunk’. My Granny is not a drinker! But no doubt a few sherries will help ease her into a slumbering state.

The topic of conversation turned to what my mother would be getting Granda for Christmas, and she thought she would get a bottle of ‘that stuff’ she normally gets him. ‘Harvey’s Bristol Cream?’, Granny suggested, knowing full well that it is Baileys my Mum gets. I had visions of Sherry Hungry Matty disappearing to Leitrim with Granda’s Christmas present. Not that he is a sherry drinker – or even a drinker but he’s quite fond of the odd Baileys. Drinks it like it’s milk.

So, now you know what to get Matty for Christmas – Harvey’s Bristol Cream and lots of it!
