I know it’s been quiet around here since Christmas – I’ve been busy reading, relaxing, listening to music, shopping and having a pleasant holiday.

D has bought us a new car. Yeah (much girlie hand-clapping)! It is a Peugeot 306 and it is red. We still have Caz (or should I say NKZ 4911) until Monday when the new car will be collected.

As for Christmas, I am glad it is all over. I turn on the Christmas tree lights in the morning and wonder why I bother. Shouldn’t we have the tree taken down? Shouldn’t all the lights in town be removed after the big day?

And New Year’s Eve? I really can’t be bothered. D has some notion about driving to Gillies Bar, or going to a house party. Me, I’d like to curl up on the sofa with a bottle of wine.

But before all that D has shelves to erect. The shelves have been the centre of many heated discussions. So, here’s hoping that everthing runs smoothly!
