Was woken this morning by the sound of a gale blowing, so decided to curl up in a ball and not get up until later. It was a good plan as the weather improved in the afternoon and the sky turned to blue.

I bought myself the Weekend Guardian which it had an article about knitting. It was an interview with Debbie Stoller and also had 3 knitting patterns from her book Stitch ‘N Bitch Handbook. Now, I’d rather not bore you all with how the feminists of the 1970s screwed things up for us modern women – so you can read the article for yourself here, and if you feel like it have a go at the knitting patterns (Pictures can be found here - just scroll through the pages).

It seemed strange to open up the Weekend Guardian to find that it had turned into an issue of Woman’s Weekly! And on the subject of Woman’s Weekly I have a whole box of vintage copies waiting to be looked at downstairs. I am hoping they will provide interesting reading.
