Surviving

Day 2 By Myself.

I am coping quite well, I think. I’m finding it very quiet and cold without D here. Last night I had lazy persons’ food - from the freezer, into the oven and into my belly. Tonight I made comfort food - I did a Selina* with salad.

I wish I had a dog - not that I could replace my beloved with a dog! A dog would keep me from feeling like a lunatic when I talk to myself. A dog would keep me warm in bed. The first night was freezing, I hadn’t realised how much heat D contributes. So, last night I took a hot water bottle to bed with me.

Norfolk was good fun - Katkins coped brilliantly with the Bowyer Invasion. This was the first time I have been to visit her since she left home, about 7 years ago. I have been told not to leave it so long next time!

*A Selina (I think that is who it is named after) is a pasta dish made from Penne pasta, 1 can of tinned tomatos, fresh basil, mozzarella, parmesan, olive oil and black pepper. It is very yummy.
