Penne with Tomato and Mozzarella
One of the first things I thought of this morning was the ‘Selina’ pasta I made last week. And here is the recipe. It is no longer associated with Selina Scott on the Sainsburys site as no one can really remember who she was or what she did. The only thing I will ever remember her for is putting her name to a damn fine recipe.
I have had a good day. I went out shopping this morning and got plenty of pruck. Yeah! Then I tidied the living room. Then I went out shopping again. So, when I discovered that I only had four sheets of lasagne left (when about to assemble the bloody thing!) I decided not to bother rushing out to the shops as my feet are sore from tramping around the town.
Last weekend I chopped most of the plants in my garden. I say ‘chopped’ because I am a slutty gardener, I do not properly understand how to prune. Nothing has yet died - always a good sign. In fact, the plants are looking quite healthy. Before attacking them I took some advice from the Royal Horticultural Society. I even managed to identify a few of my mystery plants - natch I have forgotten what they all are, I have very little brain capacity set aside for gardening information. It’s the time of year for getting into gardening, so here’s a little link: You Grow Girl.
The dive addict has been away all day in Newtownards. He has been sitting diving exams. Poor him - how boring! A request has been sent to him to bring back a packet of lasagne sheets. We will not go hungry.
