St Patrick’s Day

I love days off work! My house is shining clean and pizza dough is made and rising in the airing cupboard.

I started a new knitting project today - socks made from Regia self-striping yarn. I finished knitting this scarf last night (still a few loose ends to tidy up) and, as promised ages ago, here is a picture of the jumper I finished in February. Both of these patterns came from Vintage Style.

I decided to celebrate St Patrick’s Day by wearing a green shirt. My beloved decided to celebrate St Patrick’s Day by going to work. Poor thing! Fortunately for him, it was not a good day weather-wise, so he was better off in his cosy-warm work.

Sometimes I wish that my family did not know about this blog. Then I would be able to slag them all off. Yeah, wouldn’t that be good?! But they do, so I need to censor what I write. I do hope my Mother will not be mad with me for writing this.

On Tuesday, the worst day of the week, I got a call from my Mum, just 10 minutes after I had got home from work, and just as I was settling into watching my favourite Soap. She started off with a great big rant about how she wanted to kill somebody, anybody and then got around to telling me why she was calling - her computer was broken and she wanted D to fix her up with a new one, as soon as possible, a couple of days at most. Shit, methinks, after all the time D spent fixing her computer for her and she just goes and rejects it the first sign of a setting having changed. So, I ended up wound up, also ready to kill somebody, anybody. When D got home, I told him my Mum’s sorry tale and he ended up wound up too. He says she’s not allowed a new computer until she learns how to use the one she has got. And I agree.
