Cookies

Found myself overcome with the urge to bake - so I made cookies and pizza. My favourite shaped cookie is the cow, even if it is covered in Barbie Blue Glitter Icing.
I shall spend the rest of tonight drinking wine and chilling out.

Hippy-Dippy-Flower-Eater

Another weekend, another walk. The sun shone on us yesterday and we walked from Portballintrae to Port Na Spaniagh. Part of the walk is on the cliff path above the Giant’s Causeway. From up on the cliff the people on the Causeway look like ants.
I read on Hugh F-W’s website that primroses [...]

Money Money Money

Today I took a look at my finances and came to the conclusion that I do not earn enough money. A tightening of the purse strings is in order. In order to cut down on the amount of stuff that I purchase from Amazon I have decided to make use of my [...]

A Walk on the Wild Side

It has been raining all day.
Didn’t keep D and me from going out for a walk! First we went to Carnlough to the Cranny Falls. The waterfall was quite spectacular as it had been raining hard. My little sister should remember the area as we went camping there a number of years [...]

Boiled Bacon & Cabbage

Today, for the first time ever, I ran out of coffee. A year ago this would have had me spitting and screaming; now it is just another thing to get at the shops. I was such a bad coffee addict that I drank instant as it was cheaper than real coffee and [...]

The Hillgrove Hotel

Many moons ago I spent some time in Dingle, Co Kerry, with the Kerry Auntie. I would find myself vexed at the difficulty in getting a copy of the NME. Whilst in London I had been able to pick up a copy on a Tuesday evening, in Dingle I had to wait [...]

A Sigh of Relief

At around 12.00 noon today I took a deep breath and felt all the tension leave my body. I had realised that I no longer had any pressures at work.
Work has been very stressful recently and if I never see another table plan in my life ever again I will be [...]

Diveboy’s day out

While Diveboy swam about under the water, I went for a walk in Portstewart. Diveboy had a bit of a nightmare under the water as he was diving with people who had difficulties with masks, weight belts and asthma attacks. Meanwhile, I was having a lovely relaxing dander. I took a few [...]

Which boots are made for walking?

I was in the Mid Antrim Camping shop today, looking at walking boots, when a youngster of about 12 asked me if I needed any help. Now, I’m not trying to make a point about how old I am getting and how shop assistants these days seem to be getting younger and younger; [...]
