I was in the Mid Antrim Camping shop today, looking at walking boots, when a youngster of about 12 asked me if I needed any help. Now, I’m not trying to make a point about how old I am getting and how shop assistants these days seem to be getting younger and younger; he was genuinely about 12 years old.

Help? Did I need any help? Sure I did, but I wasn’t going to ask a 12 year old for advice on buying walking boots.
