The knitting drought is over! What with the arrival of two new knitting books and the Ballymena Knitting club, it was impossible to keep away from it. Besides, turning up to a knitting do with nothing to knit seems a little daft to me. I am relieved. I was getting a bit fidgety.

In the end, the knitting meeting was me and the meeting organiser – well, you’ve got to start somewhere. I enjoyed it. Knitting soothes me, and I sometimes feel that I could cope with just about anything if I could knit along – like a job interview, if I could bring my knitting I would be more relaxed. Okay, so the interviewers might think I was a bit looped, but I wouldn’t care.
