I finished these socks last week. I feel that I am well prepared for the cold weather!

My evening has been spent baking. Several hours of butter, sugar, flour and eggs, followed by mountains of dirty dishes needing washed. I made Shah Biscuits on the request of D. I’d never made them before, or even tasted them. But D tells me they taste just right.

I also made a Malteser Cake (yes, another Nigella Lawson recipe) for D’s mum who will be celebrating her 60th Birthday tomorrow. I am hopeful that I will get to taste a slice!

Now, I am weary and off to watch Lost.
