The Chocolate Guinness Cake made for my Mum’s birthday is yum, and I have tried very hard to resist eating a piece for my breakfast this morning. However, whilst my willpower worked for the cake, it failed for the Heart Shaped Custard Creams. Tasty!

As for knitting – these sites have recently been updated: Knitty and MagKnits. MagKnits is now a monthly magazine and will have a new issue at the end of each month.

I like the look of Arisaig, but have so many things to knit I may never get around to making it. Of course, my knitting life would be made much easier if I knit with the correct number of stitches. That way I would avoid wasting a weeks’ worth of knitting and feeling like a dumb bint.
