Jelly Babies

Are Jelly Babies as addictive as Crack? Possibly. Here I was, happily sitting watching a DVD (Sin City, in case you wondered) when I got the urge to eat Jelly Babies, and nothing would do but I had to go out and buy a quarter of the beasts. I have eaten a few and am trying to save some for later, but they are calling to me ‘eat me’ with their little Jelly Baby voices. Okay, so maybe I am imagining the voices calling to me. While I was at the shop I got a 20p mix-up and have scoffed it as well. It is terrible being a sugar addict.

On Tuesday me and D attended the local community group’s art exhibition. We had both entered in the ‘19 to 90′ age range. D’s picture was the first painting that he had ever done and it is impressive. Naturally, I felt like I was cheating by entering (being an art school drop-out), but I wanted to do something to support the group and taking part in something that interested me seemed like a good way to contribute. It was terribly embarassing as mine and D’s paintings were by far the best in our age group. I won first prize in our group and D won second prize – in total we got £30.00 which we donated to charity. Further humiliation ensued with the local press taking photos of us, our paintings and a few of the other prizewinners. Arghhh!

And just in case you were wondering what the pictures look like, this is mine and this is D’s.
