Miss Macy has gone. Back to Dingle Dangle with her boy friend Scruff.

Gracie has been quite sad. She doesn’t like sleeping alone, or being alone. She is going to get a bit of a shock next week when D goes back to work. At the moment she is lying in bed with D. She awoke at 6 am this morning to start whining and barking. She has been doing this every day since Macy left, and I needed a lie in today, so, I brought her into the bed.

I’ve been missing Macy too.

I miss how she curled up in my lap whilst I knit. Funny that this week I have hardly knit anything, I wonder if it is connected to the lack of lapdog.

Last weekend I knit this hat and these socks for a baby called Oscar. I am currently knitting a pair of socks with cashmere yarn and a rowan kidsilk shawl from the Rowan Magazine No 39.

As for D’s sore paw – he is well on the mend. We have even managed to get him weaned off the painkillers, and he celebrated the fact that he had finished a course of antibiotics by drinking our cabinet dry last night.
