Shivering and Hungry
Poor Gracie is sat shivering on my lap. Partly because we had a bath and partly because she knows her dinner is ready, and it’s got lambs liver in it. We are both on a diet of comforting foods tonight. I’m having sausages, mash and onion gravy.
D is away on a diving trip and Gracie and I are left here at home. Though it’s not all bad! At least he didn’t take the laptop with him, as he had threatened to do!
Yesterday, I met up with my two sisters and we went for a drive to the coast. Later in the day we ate some tasty food, I made a vegetarian chilli with a cornbread topping (from Feast, Nigella Lawson) and Katy made Molten Chocolate Babycakes (from How to be a Domestic Goddess, Nigella Lawson) which were utterly delicious.
Tomorrow I will be having roast lamb for one, which is basically a roast lamb shank. Sometimes I find it hard to be bothered to cook for myself when D isn’t about, but right now I am in the mood to cook and eat good food.
