Chocolate Part Three
I wouldn’t have thought a journey in a teeny-weeny plane would have been smooth, but it was. On our return to Dublin, after having been delayed on the plane for 2 hours and with a plane full of Irish schoolkids who had been in Madrid to watch a football match, we had the scariest landing I have ever experienced. Everybody on the plane was holding something tightly and holding their breath whilst the plane shook, bounced and twisted onto the runway. The pilot was given a round of applause after we landed.
There were only a few people on the plane to Oaxaca, a German woman and an American couple. The German woman suggested at Oaxaca airport that we all get a collectivo taxi into the city as it would save money. Anyway, one of the annoying things that happened was that this American couple pinched our taxi. Fuckers. Is it any wonder I think that Americans can be arrogant, rude and impatient?
Back at Las Mariposas we got a new room which was bigger and nicer than our old room (and it had been very nice). We went out for lunch, went shopping for gifts, went to all the markets and then went out for dinner.
Our last morning we spent taking lots and lots of photographs of the city, we ate Rosas ice cream at the neveria stalls at La Soledad and we had a tasty last meal before heading to the airport.
The photos have now been flickrised.

Poor D being sick. But I’m sure his diving experiences more than made up for it. Sounds like you had an amazing time. Even if things didn’t run as smoothly as they should have.
