Rain
Rain, rain, go away, come again another day.
August - a venerable month. Did you know that the gladiolus and poppy are the flowers of August? Or that its birthstones are peridot, sardonyx or sapphire? Another fascinating fact about August is that it is the month in which my birthday falls and that it has traditionally been a good month for battles in Ireland . Something which I can quite understand, this rain is enough to drive you insane enough to throw axes and bricks around. (Don’t worry, I will distance myself from any axes or bricks!)
The sad thing is that I have a new (to me) vintage camera to play with and it is too wet to take photographs. Plus we have no car, as it was returned to the dealer we bought it from after D discovered that it had been clocked. I am beginning to hate cars and the hassles they cause. Hopefully, we will have a new car sometime this week; it will be our second car this year and our third car since this time last year.

In East Anlia, since my local publican erected a gazebo for the smokers it has been fine and sunny (3 weeks ago). Until today, when the rain came and the gazebo wasn’t waterproof!!! Dad xxxxx
